Lame Journal is the personal blog for John Herbert. By day I’m a Cisco-focused network geek; I am a 10-year CCIE #6727 in Routing & Switching (which as I’ve commented elsewhere either makes me cool or outdated – you decide). I have passed my JNCIA-JUNOS, and I’d like to do more Juniper certs if I can find the time. By night I’m an amateur musician, father of three, husband of one, photographer of everything and master of nothing.
I live in sunny Atlanta, GA and I have been known to attempt running once in a while. I even made it to the finish line of at least two 5k races. Eventually.
If you think what I share on this site is lame, then (a) feel free to politely mention that fact in an educational comment, and (b) look again at the URL and remind yourself that you were forewarned…
While my day job focuses on networking, anything I write here is my own opinion and should not be taken to have any relationship to my employer or my employer’s opinions. Nothing here is sanctioned or reviewed by my employer, nor are any opinions paid for. In the rare case where there might be a potential conflict of interest, you can be sure it will be noted in the relevant post. Please take a moment to read my Disclosures page.

“…father of three, wife of one.”
Surely that should be husband of one?
BTW, I enjoy your blog.
Thanks, Oliver! I can’t believe (a) I wrote that, and (b) nobody else noticed… doh! Fixed now
